What is street photography exactly? One might guess its photos taken on the street; and that one person would be correct. But also street photography; is photographs of inspiration at that moment, where you find something that is visually intriguing. Something that is so eye-catching: you have to take that shot; that is my definition of street photography. The whole point of street photography is documenting what is happening before your very eyes, a situation perhaps that is playing out in front of you at that very moment. Composing a Photograph
Composing a photograph is like an author writing a paragraph; selecting the right words that conveys a message utilizing as little space as possible to get the point across. A photograph is to the photographer; what a paragraph is to an author, even though it just a photograph, there is a message there. They say a picture is worth a thousand words; but a well composed photograph will say as much, just without so many words. Is Photographing in Public Illegal
Taking photographs in public places such as Time Square; or at crowded public events like a parade that is being held for a special occasion. It's sometimes difficult to exclude people in your photos that are in such crowded areas, as you're shooting. And if someone notices that you're taking pictures in their general direction; they might ask of you not to include them in your photographs. Those requests are sometimes unreasonable because you might only get that one good shot. Need a camera upgrade?
When should you decide to upgrade your camera? We'll actually there is several reasons. If you're a long time compact or point and shoot camera user; you might be looking to upgrade to a digital SLR camera.
